Hello everyone, my name is Ginger. I am here to speak for the Chinese Youth Stand for Tibet. We are a group of native Chinese speakers from all over the world. We advocate for Tibet within the Chinese-speaking community. Our mission is clear: to expose the censored narratives about Tibet, to break the silence imposed by the CCP, and to urge more Chinese people to stand in solidarity with Tibet!
Many people asked me: You are Chinese, why do you support Tibet? The answer is simple: Because it’s about justice. Because it’s about compassion. And because we are Chinese. We have the privilege to do more. We have the responsibility to act!
I once worked as a computer teacher at the Ragya Gangjiong Sherig Norbu Lobling (ར་རྒྱ་གངས་ལྗོངས་ཤེས་རིག་ནོར་བུའི་སློབ་གླིང་།), a private welfare school, run independently by Tibetans. It is located in East Tibet, Qinghai. Its real name is Golog, Amdo. Ragya is a small town next to Yellow River Maqu. Ragya School was a prominent Tibetan school. It persisted in teaching Tibetan language and traditional Tibetan culture to Tibetan children against all odds. However, last July, the Chinese government forcibly shut it down. It was devastating to me. I spent days and days crying. I could not believe that such an important place, both to me and to Tibetans, was erased overnight. And no one has talked about it on the Chinese internet.
I grew up under the twisted lies of the CCP. The government propaganda told us, “the 56 ethnic groups are one big family”. 56个民族是一家. But during my time in Tibet, I saw nothing but oppression, discrimination, and control. Tibetans can’t have a passport. Police checkpoints are everywhere. They cannot travel freely, not even Lhasa – the capital and holy city to all Tibetans. Schools that teach Tibetan kids their native language and traditional culture have all been shut down. I will never forget an Ama-la crying, as she told me: They closed our school. If we lose our language, we lose our souls.
Injustice happens in Tibet every single day. I have witnessed their sufferings. And I cannot pretend I didn't see it. This is why I must speak out. That is why we must all speak out. The world needs to hear the truths: Tibetans are still being silenced, imprisoned, and killed! And we must demand that the CCP get out of Tibet – now!
We, as Chinese youth, will not be silent. We will not look away. We will fight until Tibet is free!
Now, I want to call for all my Chinese friends around the world:
大家好，我是华语青年挺藏会的Ginger。
66年前的今天，成千上万的藏人聚集在罗布林卡，他们抗议着中共军队的非法入侵。他们在广场上高喊：“中共撤军！滚出拉萨！” 之后迎接他们的，是解放军的枪声与镇压。拉萨陷入混乱，尊者被迫踏上逃亡之路。 夜幕下，他和随行者翻越喜马拉雅，从此流亡印度。开启了数万藏人扶老携幼，延续至今的流亡长路。 66年过去，如今他们散落世界各地，却仍记得66年前他们为何流亡。他们每年都在3月10号聚集起来走上街头，不是仅为了回忆，也是为了正义，是因为他们想回家，他们想要达赖喇嘛尊者回拉萨！
66年了，成千上万的藏人冒死翻越雪山，远走印度。他们和近年来穿越缅泰边境，南美雨林，达连隘口的走线客们一样，都是对中共专制政权的不服从，他们奔向自由，勇气点燃了反抗的火焰！我们关注藏人的苦难，不是仅出于同情，而是因为我们都是追求自由的同道！ 我们都是被剥夺母语的孩子，都是共产集权的受难者，都是流亡的异乡人。曾经我们有共同的恐惧，如今我们有共同的敌人！
共产党制造了压迫和犯下的罪行，我们新一代的抗争者有责任去正视它！ 藏汉关系的未来取决于我们，民族关系的和解与转型正义的漫漫长路也在于我们，推翻中共政权是我们和藏人共同的征程。我们需要让藏人朋友们知道，我们是与他们在一条战线上!
如果我们不反思、不认错、不迎回尊者，百年之后，600万藏人守护的雪域会融化，长江黄河都会干涸，而殖民者和他们的共谋们都会被钉上历史的耻辱柱！
I dream of a day when I can return to Ragya — the town of my school — in a free Tibet. A day when I can reunite with my Tibetan friends and students. I imagine them running toward me, filled with joy, saying: "Do you know? His Holiness the Dalai Lama is coming back to Lhasa! Let’s go and see him!"
I believe that day is coming soon. And that is why we must act now! To the new generation of Chinese activists: This is our moment. It is our duty to confront the crimes committed by the CCP, to reflect on the past, and to take responsibility for the future. The future of Tibet-China relations is in our hands. We are the privileged ones — the ones who can speak, the ones who can act. It is our duty to right the wrongs and return Tibet to Tibetans!
The CCP is the common enemy of both Tibetans and Chinese! We must stand together. We must fight together. And we will win together!
His Holiness the Dalai Lama must return home — now!
China must return Tibet to the Tibetan people — now!
And we, Chinese Youth Stand for Tibet, are here to stand with you! We will walk with you, hand in hand, all the way back to Lhasa! We are here to call for a free Tibet!
