【Editor’s Note: In these denunciations, the authors highlight the Baltic states’ decisive break from Russia’s energy grid and their alignment with Europe, paralleling other nations that have escaped Russian influence. They condemn Russia as a malignant force that props up hostile regimes like Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela. Countries liberated from Russian control—including Finland, Poland, and the Czech Republic—have flourished, while those entangled with Russia suffer economic decline. The writers lament that many in their own country remain staunch supporters of President Putin, oblivious to historical injustices: Russia’s permanent annexation of Chinese territories, the massacre of local populations, and the looting of cultural treasures. By contrast, Japan, Britain, and other former colonial powers eventually returned their conquered areas or preserved Chinese demographics, while Russia eradicated them. The authors praise Western countries for celebrating the Lunar New Year and shame Russia and its allies for ignoring this tradition, ultimately calling for Russia’s final downfall.】

Opening Lines

If you soar alongside a phoenix, you must be a splendid bird; if you keep company with a rapacious wolf, you are nothing but a beast!

(一)

Yesterday, the three Baltic states—Lithuania (立陶宛), Latvia (拉脫維亞), and Estonia (愛沙尼亞)—permanently severed their electricity grid connections controlled by Russia (俄國), subsequently joining the European power network. This moment signals a complete break from the Soviet-era energy system. The three Baltic states, much like Finland (芬蘭), Poland (波蘭), and Ukraine (烏克蘭), share the same misfortune—being “too close to Russia.” Yet they also share a stroke of good fortune: they are “not far from NATO.”

(二)

Russia is a country that wreaks as much havoc as its capacity allows—a country that seizes any opportunity to do harm. Iran (伊朗), backed by Russia, is a cancer in the Middle East; North Korea (朝鮮), under Russia’s wing, is a cancer in East Asia; Venezuela (委内瑞拉), supported by Russia, is a cancer in Latin America. Russia itself is a cancer to humanity.

Were you to drain the Eastern Sea, you could not wash away all its evils;

Were you to use up the bamboo of the Southern Mountains, you could never record all its crimes!

(三)

Once Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, and the Czech Republic (捷克) cast off Russian control, they rose to become developed nations. Ukraine and the five Central Asian “Stans” are still struggling to escape Russia’s clutches, while Belarus (白俄) and North Korea remain in collusion with it. After the Soviet Union (蘇聯) dissolved in 1991, our country’s economy rapidly ascended. Yet in recent years, because we once again became deeply entwined with Russia, our economy has steadily deteriorated year by year.

To be Russia’s neighbor is the worst misfortune;

To be Russia’s friend is the greatest shame.

(四)

Nevertheless, in our country, there are many ardent admirers of Russia and many enthusiasts of President Putin (普京). The group that supports Putin most fervently is not in Russia but on the mainland.

These fools do not realize:

No nation has occupied more of our land than Russia. Even now, all other seized territories have been returned to us, with the single exception of those permanently annexed by Russia.

These fools do not realize:

Russia’s national museums hold tens of thousands of our artifacts—treasured pieces forcibly taken. They allow visitors from any country to see them, yet they forbid Chinese people from viewing them.

These fools do not realize:

The massacres orchestrated by Stalin (斯大林) in Northeastern China were even more brutal than the Nanjing Massacre committed by Japan, leaving a higher death toll in their wake.

These fools do not realize:

Where Japan once occupied Taiwan, the people who live there now are Chinese; where Britain occupied Hong Kong, the people who live there now are Chinese; where Portugal occupied Macao, the people who live there now are Chinese; where Germany occupied Qingdao, the inhabitants now are Chinese; and where France occupied Zhanjiang, the people living there now are Chinese. Even in Shanghai and Tianjin, which were jointly occupied by foreign powers, today, the residents are Chinese.

But in Vladivostok (海參崴), Blagoveshchensk (海蘭泡), Shuangchengzi (雙城子), Khabarovsk (伯力), Sakhalin (庫頁島), Nerchinsk (尼布楚), Miaojie (廟街), and the Outer Khingan Range (外興安嶺)—these eight places taken by Russia—the inhabitants now are Russians. The original Chinese population was massacred to the last.

These fools do not realize:

The nations they view as hostile—such as the United States, Japan, Canada, and Australia—are home to renowned Chinatowns in their major cities. The countries they perceive as allies—including Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela—have not a single Chinatow
