作为一个民主宣扬者在中国有多危险

总所周知中国是一个由中国共产党独裁的国家。共产党内部的主要领导人都是前一代或几代的领导人的后代。共产党的独裁也是一种寡头独，就是一个小团体独裁，最高领导人总是在这个小团体内选出。以前是皇帝的儿子当皇帝变成现在小团体内大家轮流当皇帝。 因此共产党是非常害怕西方的民主自由思想的。共产党统治下的教育从小就树立共产党独裁的理念，并且要歌颂共产党，不允许说共产党的坏话。在这样的洗脑教育下，多数人都觉得共产党独裁是理所当然的。在经济好的环境里，很少会有人起来反对共产党。可是当经济不好的情况下，就有很多人特别是年轻人觉醒发现自己是被共产党奴役的韭菜，永远只是共产党利用和剥削的对象。

How Dangerous to be a Pro-Democracy Activist in China

The Communist Party's dictatorship is also a kind of oligarchic dictatorship, that is, a small group dictatorship, and the top leader is always elected within this small group. Therefore, the Communist Party is very afraid of Western democratic and free ideas. Education under the rule of the Communist Party has established the concept of Communist Party dictatorship since childhood, and it is necessary to praise the Communist Party and not to say bad things about the Communist Party. Under such brainwashing education, most people think that the Communist Party's dictatorship is a matter of course. In a good economic environment, few people will rise up to oppose the Communist Party. But when the economy is bad, many people, especially young people, wake up and find that they are enslaved by the Communist Party, and they will always be the objects of use and exploitation by the Communist Party.

    上海万圣节前夕的变装活动只是民众自娱自乐的一种现象，然而共产党却如临大敌觉得是一种隐藏的政治示威并且会影响到共产党的统治地位，于是出动大批警察进行抓变装的人，并且要求他们卸妆才能走人。可想而知那些真正的民主自由宣扬者会有多危险。近几年又有大批民主活动家被抓和判刑，包括人权律师王宇，丁家喜，许志永， 和江天勇等。

    王宇，中国女性维权律师，曾代理多起著名维权案件，并曾为大量法轮功学员的信仰进行无罪辩护。2015年6月公开声援中国法轮功学员向北京最高人民法院控告发动镇压的江泽民群体灭绝罪。2016年曾王宇被以颠覆国家政权罪逮捕， 后释放被注销律师执照。今年十月份又再次被抓。

    许志永,律师，公盟创始人之一，新公民运动的主要创始人和标志性人物，中国著名青年法学家、宪政学者和公民维权的领军人物。北京市海淀区十三、十四届人大代表。倡导公民以非暴力的方式维护自己的权益，要求中华人民共和国政府给予国民平等接受教育的权利，要求官员公布财产，并惩治腐败。2014年1月26日上午，北京市第一中级人民法院以“聚众扰乱公共场所秩序罪”为名，判处许志永有期徒刑4年。4月11日，北京市高级人民法院驳回许志永的上诉，维持原判。2023年4月10日，临沂市中级人民法院以“颠覆国家政权罪”判处许志永有期徒刑14年.

Representative of the 13th and 14th National People's Congress of Haidian District, Beijing. He advocated that citizens should safeguard their rights and interests in a non-violent way, demanded that the government of the People's Republic of China give citizens the right to equal education, demanded that officials disclose their assets, and punish corruption. On the morning of January 26, 2014, the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court sentenced Xu Zhiyong to 4 years in prison for "gathering a crowd to disturb public order". On April 11, the Beijing Higher People's Court rejected Xu Zhiyong's appeal and upheld the original verdict. On April 10, 2023, the Linyi Intermediate People's Court sentenced Xu Zhiyong to 14 years in prison for "subversion of state power".

    丁家喜，丁家喜从事律师工作之后开始参与公盟活动。2013年4月17日被当局以“非法集会”罪名刑事拘留，罪名先后转变为“寻衅滋事”和“聚众扰乱社会秩序。2023年4月10日，丁家喜以颠覆国家政权罪被判入狱12年，被剥夺政治权利3年。

On April 17, 2013, he was criminally detained by the authorities on charges of "illegal assembly", and the charges were changed to "picking quarrels and provoking trouble" and "gathering a crowd to disturb social order." On April 10, 2023, Ding Jiaxi was sentenced to 12 years in prison and deprived of political rights for 3 years for the crime of subverting state power.

    所以在中国没有和平抗议，只有颠覆国家政权罪。我们民主党人在纽约反对共产党的暴政和反对共产党的文章和言论在中国都是颠覆国家政权罪。共产党把自己等同于国家，因为现在是共产党在统治中国。但是共产党跟中国其实是两个不同的概念。我们会一直支持和宣扬民主和自由的。

So, there is no peaceful protest in China, only the crime of subverting state power. Our Democrats in New York oppose the Communist Party's tyranny and the articles and speeches against the Communist Party are all crimes of subverting state power in China. The Communist Party equates itself with the country because it is now ruling China. But the Communist Party and China are absolutely two different concepts. We will always support and promote democracy and freedom.
